Peter Landmark originally had a mechanical background before he discovered his passion for the clock repair business. Entering into and working within the business world, he eventually realized he wanted to have his own store. "I decided I wanted to start working for myself rather than for someone else," says Peter. Together with his wife, he opened up a little shop out of his home about 25 years ago and then expanded into the Meadowlark Professional Building 10 years ago, specializing in selling high-quality watches and clocks, and repairing watches, clocks and jewellery of all makes.
Starting a new business can be daunting because of the unpredictability. “There will always be some fear, because you don’t know what the outcome is going to be,” says Peter. However, Peter did not let this fear stop him from opening Landmark Clock Shop, and he is now the proud owner of one of the busiest clock shops in the city of Edmonton.
