Thought I was paying extra for high quality job. With less then 60,000 km n outside of the 18 month warranty on my rebuilt I started having problems. Decided after 100,000 km id go to a different shop n after been torn down n examined by 2 shops it was determined that a lot of spacers, bands etc were used from my original transmission n that was the obvious reason for the failure.

John Judging by the KMs your speaking of this is going back 4-5 years?? The company has changed ownership in 2014 and part of our rebuild process ALL friction materials in an automatic transmission is replaced. As for spacers also known as washers or bearings that your transmission may have, like brakes in a vehicle, after 100,000kms they would look like a used part as it’s a constant running surface while you’re driving and there would be absolutely no way to determine unless speaking to the remanufacturer if they were replaced when your transmission was originally repaired. As we strive on customer satisfaction we always recommend contacting us with any concerns or questions with regards to the performance of your transmission within or passed your warranty period.
