I am not from tow...
I am not from town and I needed a way to kill time. So I decided to go tanning and get ready for my vacay in two weeks. I walked 20 minutes in the rain to get to this place. Once I walked in I was not greeted nor did I feel welcome or invited, as the website said I would feel. I asked the lady at the counter where I should take my shoes off. She went off saying, well we don't even have a bed open right now until noon. Which was fine, i had time to kill. I told her I did not live here nor have I ever tanned here before. She seemed annoyed that she would have to enter my info into the computer. So I filled out my information and she starts asking me what kind of beds I have used. I start explaining that I use both the stand up and a "level one". She again rolls her eyes at me and says I need to know the maximum minutes for those beds as they are all different. I don't know tanning lingo or the max time in the beds I have previously used. I was just letting her know what I knew about the beds I have previously used, as I am not a "pro" I seldomly tan to go on vacation so I'm not up to speed with tanning I just know I used a stand up for 6-7 mins and a lay down for 10 or so. I feel that their website misled me, I did not feel invited to tan there. She was pretty rude, how she is in a customer service role is beyond me, maybe she was having a bad day but don't take it out of our new customers as I will not recommend that place to anyone. I will use again if I am ever back in Courtenay BC and needing to kill time, only because it is convenient and close to where I stay.
