Sharon Olson has been the owner of this revitalized neighbourhood gem in Maple Ridge since she took over the business back in 2009. A true go-getter, Sharon continues to improve her tanning salon with beautiful renovations, amazing deals and innovative technology.

Purchasing Cowabunga Tanning was no easy task for Sharon, but she had the confidence to follow her dream. “I always wanted my own tanning place,” she says. “I liked being around the public and it looked like fun. So I sold my house, put all my money into this and I've been here almost seven years.”

Getting on her feet proved to be difficult at first, but this savvy business owner was up for the challenge. “It was very scary,” Sharon recalls. “The first three years I thought I was going to lose it all. But, like I say, the customers kept coming back. If it weren't for them I'd be out of business.”
