We love this place! The food, as always was great. We have been dining here for almost 20 years now and have always had great food and service. We saw the bad review and couldn't believe they were talking about Jonathan's. We just had to write our review!!

Fantastic

Jonathan's is my favorite restaurant. I've been going for years and have never been disappointed. The menu is fantastic and very affordable. Fantastic atmosphere and service. Great place to bring your family. highly recommended

Outstanding

Jonathan's is one of the top dining experiences within York Region. Our warm greeting, prompt service and delicious Mediterrean menu made our recent dining experience very memorable. Jonathan's has been operating for 22 years & has certainly established itself as a landmark in Aurora. This is a family owned restaurant that you must visit. The prices are reasonable and the menu selection is execptional. We were also impressed with the authentic Greek hospitability. Jonathan's offers our family a perfect place to go when we wish to dine out or party with our friends. Two thumbs up.

What the ???

Who ever decided on the renovations at Jonathan's needs to give themselves a shake. We used to eat there once a month before and although it wasn't great it also wasn't horrible if you didn't mind the absolutely filthy carpeted floor. So now that's gone and the concrete has a "paint treatment' that makes it look just as filthy. the new chairs while comfortable are not the right height for the old tables they retained - a shorter person needs a booster seat to be at a comfortable eating position, I'm relatively tall and found myself uncomfortably low. when i asked my waitress why they had not replaced the tables for more appropriate ones she said the had been ordered but weren't in yet which was the same story we were told a year before. Now the food, I love eggs benny so i tried the Jonathan's eggs benedict and all i can say is that this was one of the worst things i have ever tried to eat. You don't mess with a classic and to substitute ham for peameal, cheese sauce for hollandaise, and a limp croissant for a toasted english muffin is ludicrous, add insult to injury by placing a dripping wet, barely poached, egg in the middle and it becomes a revolting wet mess. my mother's meal was somewhat better but still was only mediocre at best. The tea we had to have been made from the cheapest bags they could get - it was at least hot. we tried jonathans twice since the reno but have since crossed it permanently off our list.

A lot of flavors are served. We like them all, especially for curry and pepper. You can not miss them. The appetizers are also delicious...
