He approached the endeavour systematically, researching all aspects of the painting industry and making some interesting discoveries in the process. “The painting industry is very large, but is mostly made up of fly-by-night painters,” he says. “There’s no industry standard for painters. Anyone can go and buy some equipment and set up shop.”

Bill’s research soon led him to the reputable franchiser, 360° Painting. “My experience of painters was that they weren’t very good. I understood that the industry needed something different and the fact that 360° Painting had the same values that I do made it a good fit.” Bill swiftly set up a franchise of the business and 360° Painting Durham was born.
