This is a great little fish and chip find.
I am of English background and know how I like my fish and chips. My wife and I were delighted with this friendly little place and had a very good meal.
The haddock was a 3 oz size, and nice and crisp.
The chips were browned nicely, not like the pale yellow things I have been usually served elsewhere. A small Cole Slaw but not too sharp or bitter like some places I have been
They do carry out too, and there was a queue waiting when we left. They were obviously regulars who all knew one another and were cheerfully waiting for their order. When we are in town again this place will be a must for us.
A small bathroom but quite adequate. Seating for about 30 customers as I could see. We had haddock but halibut, cod,shrimp etc are there too.
The fish hut is a little hidden gem of fish and chip goodness! Don't let the old, and worn down exterior get the best of you. The decorations and atmosphere were outdated, but I think that added a charming fish and chip shop feeling.
The value was great, (I believe it was $5.69 for a two piece white fish, fries and coleslaw.)

I have doubts that the fries are fresh cut. They were maybe sitting for a while cooked or uncooked. At any rate, they were disgusting and far from fresh or fresh cut. Huge contrast from the rest of the meal which was above expectations.
Fix your french fries immediately!

The fish hut is the best fish and chips in town - they even have mushy peas! We lived in the UK for a while and when we moved here we were craving it, tried most of the fish and chips in the KW area until we found our prize. Its deep fried fish and chips, nothing fancy, but very delicious!

This restaurant was recommend by family members. My husband ( a fish and chips aficionado) declared his meal to be the best ever. I had the shrimp and chips special and enjoyed it thoroughly. The coffee was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely return.
Overly battered fish, very greasy. I know it's fried fish, but the oil they use is either animal fat or hydrogenated oil, as when it cools down, it turns into a white sludge. It might taste good, but it ain't good for you.

I came in because a friend recommended it to me. I was happy to find that it was as delicious as my friend claimed. The portion was enough to fill me up and then some. The price was a lot better than some other places and the server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be back.

Definitely recommend. Especially for take-out or a "casual - family" style eat-in - nothing fancy. A bit greasy but really tasty! They have I think 4 kinds of Fish and good prices too. Whitefish Lunch special I think 4.95!

I consider myself a great fan of Fish and Chips and order them often at restaurants...but I can honestly say that I have rarely found any I have enjoyed as much as the Haddock and chips at the Fish Hut. Crispy light batter and hand cut fries which is complimented by a home made coleslaw and tarter sauce. I take friends there often and all have now made it a once a week tradition. When all you serve is Fish and Chips and your restaurant does not smell fishy or greasy tends to tell me that everything is clean and fresh...
Simple decore but the best fish in town. I have had the Halibut and white fish....but my money is on the Haddock....

Would reccommend that you make the drive... it's kind of hard to find and in a mostly residential area, but the fish makes up for it.
The decor leaves a bit to be desired but you don't eat the curtains anyway!
