Best customer service! Staff offer great advice and are always offering to lend a hand.

I went into big al's today, I was the older gentleman in the leather jacket, Toronto maple leafs hat and 500$ in my pocket and feeling somewhat excited to be purchasing fish and decorative plants for my new fresh water tank. I have never in my life felt as if I was intruding on people's time as I did today. I had so many ? About fish there requirements food, water temp compatibility with other fish ? ect........ Well let's just say I did walk out with something, my money and disappointment .

They wont refund a $500 order, that I haven't received yet, and called to cancel less than 24hrs after the order. Shady business practice and lacking in informing their customers of their policies and procedures just so that they can make the sale. Have purchased a lot of accessories and fish from Big Al's, I will never bring my business there again and neither will my family and friends who also shop there.

GREAT place

I buy all my cichlids from these guys....they are helpful, curteous, and have a good selection...listen to this for customer service...I bought a fish tank stand there one day and I called a cab....it was taking FOREVER to come, the owner (I assume) said to me "hey man, don't want to creep ya out, but I can give ya a lift home, save ya the money and its slow right now" I totally took him up on the offer and he drove me from wellington to Byron --great guy!! I will admit their selection of fish was bigger and better when it was on wellington because they had more space, but the knowledge and good customer service is there and their product line (minus livestock) I think has actually grown! love the place...check it out!!!
