With an avid interest in fashion and a love for eyewear, Olga Trentin knew she wanted to open her own store and share that passion with others. It all started when she was working in a mall and would visit a local designer eyewear company during her breaks.
“One day I went in and the manager was with a client and I didn’t want to interrupt," explains Olga. "I basically picked up a frame, put it on the counter for the client to try and I walked out. The manager came into the store where I was working and told me I had to work with them because she was with that client for two hours but she picked the frame I chose. I started working there part time and my passion for eyewear continued to grow.”
It has been three years since she opened Eyewear by Olga and she now offers over 15 brands and more than 100 frames from independent eyewear designers. The frames themselves are selected carefully by Olga, who attends four major frame shows a year in Paris, New York, Italy and Las Vegas, where she researches and screens the frame for the best quality.
