“A customer will come in with a piece of work and we’ll find out where the piece is going to be hung and what their tastes are,” says Young Kim, owner of St. Germain Gallery. “We have 3000 to 5000 frames types here so can frame the picture to perfection.”
St. Germain’s priority is to make the work look its best and keep the customer happy. As Young says, they’re the one who will be looking at it on a daily basis. Young has been in the trade since the mid 80s, and his assistant, OCAD graduate Chad Fobert, has been framing since the late 90s.
