“People like us because we give something for both boys and girls to do,” says Andy Appleton who owns Fun2 (as in Fun Squared!) with brother Tom. “They tell us there’s so much for girls to do for fun out there and they have problems finding things for boys. Both love us.”
Who’d ever have thought that pretty, little Whitby would be the site for such innovation in leisure — and all within one family as well? Andy has a state-of-the -art graphics business specializing in fluorescents and digital printing, which trades all over the globe. Tom is an inventor specializing in group games and game systems. Fun2 is where these games get put into action and the family business is also making franchising contacts round the globe for his games. The main game, Bazooka Ball, is making waves both locally and further afield. Just remember, you played it first in Whitby!
