I'll try to keep this short and sweet (like my wife ha) but we will definitely, 100% be returning to this place. We were in recently and the staff were so nice. We made a day of it and took it all to the lake and it was so nice to be able to enjoy such nice foods. I'd just butcher the pronounciations and whatnot, but suffice to say, you should order a lot of the extras that they have, in addition to the roti, which itself is amazing. The goat was soft and tender, but gamey too. If you're not a real meat-enthusiast, you may wanna steer clear of goat and get something more pallette friendly, like chiken or the chickpea roti. The doubles, oh the doubles! A double, from the best I can tell, is like this little chickpea-dough crepe, that is filled with refried beans and then the whole shebang is deep fried. Yeah, it's pretty much heaven. It comes with this hot sauce that really cuts to your core, so be careful. You'll sweat, but as us chiliheads admit, that's what you want. There's also pholourie, which is like a timbit, but made of a lightly-spiced chickpea dough, and it's a really nice, chewie snack that is just amazing. Well, as you can tell, I'm getting hungry writing this, so I should probably stop. Regardless of that, you should definitely check this place out. I can't say enough good things about Fishbone Bistro. Warm ambiance, comfortable seating, and the service made us feel like we were the only table in the room (although the restaurant was fairly full). We had a flaming sausage to start - delicious. The specials were incredible. I ordered a dish that I can't remember the name of, but it was similar to a light seafood stew in an herb broth. Delicious, perfectly cooked food and the flavour was out of this world. Highly recommended! My husband had the whole sea bass. The owner, Pedro, deboned the fish at the table and explained some things about Portuguese cuisine. My son had the steak, and the presentation was like nothing I had seen before! I've been telling everyone I know to check this place out. We didn't have time to try dessert (an excuse to go back)! Hearty portions, excellent wine, beautiful decor.... you have to try it! My mom and I and my 2 boys went early on a Sat. night, I was very pleased with the service, the decor, the menu, we both got the roast beef and the shrimp appetizer, both were awesome, the shrimp were huge, the meat cooked to perfection to what we had asked for, yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables cooked right, homemade mashed potatoes, the boys ate of the kids menu which I was surprised they even had as it looks fine dining when you walk in, the chicken fingers and fries were delicious. The waiters treated us very kindly and were very attentive, when they found out it was my birthday dinner they brought out cake and sang, when we were leaving the place was packed, perhaps an upscale crowd judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, they also have a separate lounge and outdoor patio, both very nice and comfortable and a sign that said free h'ors doeurves from 4 - 6 during the week, I'm definitely going back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
