Advantage Heating installed my fireplace causing soot damage to my ceilings and walls. 3 months later it was reinstalled and the soot emissions stopped. A.H.have refused to clean up the damage caused throughout my home and leaving me to foot the bill for clean up through my insurance company.It IS possible for a gas fireplace to produce soot emissions if it is improperly installed.The installer was a novice installer. An experienced installer came back to reinstall the fireplace which now works.
