Glad we made the drive!

We made the 1/2 hour+ drive from Kitchener to visit Shoeless Joe's because we had visited one in Toronto a couple months ago, and the Calamari and Fish & Chips were soooo good I was craving to have it again! The food was not quite as good as what we had in T.O. Calamari app was slightly rubbery (overcooked) but still not bad, we certainly didn't complain. The sauce they serve with it (Chipotle Ranch I believe) is amazing! Fish & Chips satisfied the craving, but was just not as good as our previous experience - I am positive that it was a different type of fish (apparently they switch it up)....it was still enjoyable, just not fantastic. Near the end of the meal, I also found a large FEATHER, which had been deep fried and sitting at the bottom of my portion sweet potato fries....okay, I am a waitress myself and obviously I know these things can happen, and I didn't actually bite into it or anything, so I didn't make a huge deal about it, but I did mention it to our server. She was super nice about it and we received a free dessert which we loved! It was called "The Cookie" and basically it was a big warm cookie baked and served in a small skillet and topped with ice cream and more cookie pieces - it was delicious and a perfectly nice compensation for the unexpected addition found in my meal! I don't remember our server's name, but her service was spot on for the whole meal, and she always seemed to appear just when we needed something. I left $20 tip on our $65 bill, which she totally deserved, and I hope that when we return that we are served by her again! I should mention that my fiance ordered a combo of 3 different Slider burgers with Lattice fries and they were amazing - I sampled, and he agreed - best sliders anywhere, especially the Bison one! Lattice fries very crisp and tasty. So, overall, not a flawless experience, but still a good one....working the restaurant biz ourselves, we are not people to let minor flaws ruin a nice lunch out as some people do. Patio was very nice on a hot summer's day! We will be back soon!

I ordered the Bison Burger while the girlfriend ordered the Sliders. The Bison Burger was delicious however my only complaint is the bun it comes on. It was flimsy and broke apart, however all in all was very tasty. The Sliders were amazing. You could tell they weren't these flimsy frozen burgers, and were so filling, I had to finish them for my girlfriend. No complaint there! Service was ok, nothing positive, nothing negative. Ordered a mini pitcher of beer which cost a few bucks and filled my glass twice. Overall, we will visit again.

First visit to this restaurant on a quiet Saturday evening. Restaurant was fairly busy but no wait for a table, a pleasant surprise. Only negative was the longer than expected delay for the waitress to arrive for the drink orders. Everyone was pleased with the orders (Bison burger is a mouthful - be warned), including desserts and coffee. Decor was entertaining, washrooms were clean, and the service was very attentive to make up for the initial delay. Cost worked out to about $25 pp including a mini-pitcher of beer and drinks. Will definitely come back.

Have ordered a burger twice and the third time was still "strike out" they were burnt and the triple cheese barely had any cheese on it and for the prices they charge I would expect half a block!!

I ate here last night for the first time...

I ate here last night for the first time. Overall I really enjoyed it other then it is too expensive for what we had to eat. Our bill was nearly $50 with tip for chicken fingers and sweet potato fries with an order of garlic bread with cheese. The food was good but too much money for something rather basic to prepare. Our server was good. The place is decorated very nice. The washrooms were clean and overall it was good.
