Westway have become a terrible taxi service. My first taxi of the day, number 148, was dirty, smelled and the driver was ignorant. When I called to come home I was told five to ten minutes. I am a senior and was left waiting outside for over an hour. If it hadn’t been for the kindness of the owner of Arlington barbers who gave me a ride home, I would still be waiting for a taxi. I will not be using them again.
Dont assume that they will keep a reservation. After waiting what seemed like a really long time, I called them back up and they said that no such reservation was in their system. The driver that eventually arrived, after they rebooked a cab, was very pleasant. However, my overall experience was poor.
Today in the morning I was traveling from CHEO to bells corners and got into 2 lights only and paid $50. But usually people pay around $30 for same distance and area! So disappointed.
My mother who is 90 years old was treated terribly by cab drivers on two different occasions. One time they brought her to the wrong address and then when she told him to bring her to the right address he kept the meter running. Second time the driver asked for the money upfront before he brought her to where she was going. My mother is deaf and she had a very difficult time with this.
