Jas Brar’s success story is almost too amazing to be true. His company Entripy Custom Clothing, which sells over 3 million custom T-shirts per year, started out not so long ago on a little table in his parent’s Oakville basement.
Back when Jas was a freshman at the University of Toronto, he was asked by a buddy to help organize 500 printed T-shirts for the school’s ski club. As Jas recalls, it wasn’t unusual for him to be approached about a task like that out of the blue. “Even in high school, I was always the go-to guy who got stuff done, whether organizing an event or whatever.” Jas earned $500, a buck per shirt, in that transaction – but that wasn’t the most valuable thing he acquired. The even better take-away was a brilliant entrepreneurial idea – one that eventually turned into a life-long career.
