Very good Japanese food, especially for Newmarket. Since I have studied Japanese cuisine in Osaka, I would say this is quite authentic.

we had the all you can eat buffet in the evening...

we had the all you can eat buffet in the evening. All I can say is wow! We had great service and the sushi was amazing! We have ordered a couple of party trays since then and have been impressed each time. My husband and I decided to order the top sushi platter for Christmas Eve and were very pleased with it.

If you want good food and value for your money...

If you want good food and value for your money and don't care about decor or ambiance, this is the place to go. Basically it is order as often and as much as you can eat for one fixed price of $19.95. Unlike typical buffets, the food is made fresh and brought to your table. You check a menu sheet to order and repeat the process until you had enough, making sure you don't waste by ordering more than you can eat. This is a terrific idea because you don't want to eat sushi that's been sitting on a buffet table for who knows how long. Sushi/maki excellent with fish that is fresh and rice perfectly cooked (not mushy), teriyai beef and chicken very tender, and the tempura was lightly battered, crispy and not greasy - best one I've had. As one reviewer had mentioned, the Red Dragon was excellent and so was the Black Dragon if you like barbecue eel. Sashimi is also included in the dinner menu. We will definitely go back.
